How do we break down the pricing?

A typical shoot is half day or full day and then there is usually a day or two of editing. This puts the average project at $3,000 - $5,000. Some are much less expensive at $1,000 and sometimes we do multi-day shoots that cost more than $10,000. There are a lot of variables that go in to a project and we would be happy to explain these to you.

We don't want anyone to waste money.

Gearshift has a goal to provide you the best work possible so that you look good and get your message out. Ultimately, you need to see a "return on your investment". If you spend $5,000 on a project then you need to realize $5,000 in return or more, otherwise it is a bad investment. We don't want to risk our reputation with average work. We aim to produce video and photos that we are proud to put in to our portfolio. That is the driving force and motivation behind the Gearshift name.

Your prices seem high, are you affordable?

Video cameras, lights, microphones, photography equipment, tripods, lenses & computers are EXPENSIVE. But what is really expensive for a production company is an office, employees, vehicles, etc... Gearshift doesn't have the overhead that larger production houses carry but our end product is just as good if not better. In the end, we can offer lower rates.
