Website Tools & Technology
We have been working with Flash since 1998. This software has revolutionized the experience on the web by allowing developers to create motion on the web page. This gearshift.tv website is a hybrid Flash/HTML website. The area above that is displaying photos and videos is a Flash file.
We also began compressing video on the web back in 1998 for the Washington Redskins. Original video is captured at 720x480 (pixels) @ 30 frames per second. Through compression software, we are able to reduce the file size as well as resolution to fit on to a web page.
Everyone has heard of PhotoShop. This is the industry standard for manipulating digital images or creating images from scratch. Gearshift started using this product in 1998 and more then a decade later we are still using this tool to prepare all of the images used on this site.
